Serie del tipo legal drama che può contare su alcune idee originali che traghettano lo spettatore attraverso casi legali, vicende personali, strategie, meccaniche di contrattazione aziendale e dinamiche interne agli studi legali della Grande Mela. La genialità mnemonica di Alex Ross, insieme alla sua penuria di titoli di studio, funziona da ottimo gancio narrativo. Tutta la tensione generata dalla necessità di tenere nascosto il suo segreto daranno vita a gustosi scambi e sotterfugi.
I dialoghi, sempre molto ben scritti, tendono al complesso quando affondano nel legalese. Ma rimedia un lato sentimentale che scalda un poco le, a volte ripetitive, manovre e tattiche giuridiche labirintiche e machiavelliche. Potreste assistere ad un numero di consegne di plichi, fogli piegati e biglietti da far girare la testa. Ma ci sono anche molte belle attrici, bei vestiti, belle macchine, belle case, forse troppo.
Specializzarsi in diritto societario a New York vuol dire curare ogni capello, ogni parola ed ogni gesto in una giungla di carrozzerie cromate, cocktail al veleno e geometrie di alleanze in continua metamorfosi. Man mano che le stagioni passano (sono 9) avremo il tempo di cambiare idea sulla simpatia dei personaggi una decina di volte.
Louis Litt in primis, sembra studiato per cavarci dal cuore i sentimenti più contrastanti. Ma alla fine non ne potremmo fare più a meno. L’unico sforzo che dovrete fare, se ci riuscite, è non continuare a vedere in Rachel Zane la moglie del principe Harry e duchessa del Sussex.
